Performance & Collaboration

Corinne Ward is a two-year member of Merge Dance Company at Texas State University, where she has collaborated with choreographers including Alexus Galeana, Torens Johnson, Silvina Szperling, Rosely Conz, E.G. Gionfriddo, and Heike Salzer. Through these processes, she has engaged in a wide range of creative practices that challenge both her physicality and artistic voice. In addition to her company work, she has performed in numerous works within the Texas State dance program by artists such as Rishon Harvey, Bailey Harris, Jasmine Seegmiller, Reisa DiNatale, Sam Borgfeld, Madison Hunt, Alayna Bell, Alaina Grover, and Julie Durham.

 

Training & Background

Originally from Del Valle, Texas, Corinne later moved to Pflugerville, where she continued developing her passion for dance through drill team. Her time on drill team played a significant role in shaping her performance quality and discipline, and she served as Colonel for two years. Her training spans a variety of styles, including ballet, ballet folklórico, musical theater, drill team, and ice skating, contributing to her versatility and adaptability as a performer.

Teaching & Leadership

Outside of the university setting, Corinne works with MA Dance (Marching Auxiliaries Dance), a Texas-based organization, where she assists with camps, competitions, and choreography for high school drill teams. Through this work, she continues to grow as both an educator and mentor, gaining experience in teaching, leadership, and community engagement within the dance world.
