Feeling through the body
The main idea I want people to take away from my art is the power of feeling and storytelling through the body. I create choreography that begins in sensation, before words or overthinking, trusting what the body reveals when fully listened to. My work explores strength, resilience, and sensuality—qualities that define power for me—and exists in the tension between power and softness. Grounded in my African heritage, my movement prioritizes honesty and instinct over what simply looks impressive. Ultimately, I hope my audience leaves feeling seen, carrying the quiet realization that parts of themselves were recognized in the movement, even in a small way.

Inspired by unspoken connections
I am inspired to create by the moments when words fall short and the body can speak what the mind cannot. I choreograph from sensation, following instinct and honesty to explore strength, resilience, and sensuality in movement. My African heritage and my personal understanding of power inform the way I work, but above all, I am driven by the desire to convey feeling and connection. Through my choreography, I hope to make people feel seen, to spark reflection, and to leave audiences with the quiet recognition of something familiar within themselves. If my work encourages even a small encounter with their own emotions or experiences, it has achieved what I set out to do.

What shapes my work
What sets my artistic style apart is the way I build on a strong foundation of technique while prioritizing sensation and instinct in creation. I begin choreography from feeling, trusting what the body reveals once it’s fully grounded in technical skill. My movement lives in the tension between strength and softness, exploring power, resilience, and sensuality simultaneously. Rooted in my African heritage, my work carries a sense of earthiness and embodied honesty, creating choreography that is personal, instinctual, and deeply human. Rather than aiming to impress, I aim to connect—with the body, the story, and ultimately, the audience—so that each person witnessing the work feels recognized in some way.
